Journal #16 (Friday's class)
PART 1:
After reading the article and watching the Steve Jobs commencement speech (link at left), answer these questions in your journal:
What was effective
           -emotionally?
           -intellectually?
What will STICK in your memory from his speech?
What techniques can you utilize in your own speech?

PART 2:
Watch the first 8 minutes or so of Reagan's speech (linked at left).
Answer the same 4 questions in your journal.

PART 3:
Watch the Obama speech and take notes on why it was effective.


After Journal #16, we peer edited, based on 1) memorable qualities (what is awesome?!), 2) the scoring guide (see posted rubric, left side) and 3) general grammar and conventions (what should they change to clarify or intensify their message).
