Fallacies, fallacies, fallacies! Make sure you are creating a list, a set of flashcards, or a quizlet to help familiarize yourself with the definitions AND examples of different fallacies. I will post multiple lists and resources to help you study. We will not cover all the resources in class. Your final will ask you to identify fallacies (name them and explain them) and to identify logical arguments (labeling them as deductive or inductive, with explanations).
HOMEWORK on Thurs/Fri (bring to class MONDAY): bring an example of a fallacy from an advertisement, cartoon, political debate, article, tv show, children's book, song, etc. Be creative. Don't print the first example you googled. Be prepared to name the fallacy error and to discuss how to correct it.
