For the
first 30 minutes or so, the librarian, Ms. Beazizo will be working with you on how to use Google more effectively as you narrow the research for
your topics. Write down the activities--I will be spot checking journals for points.
Do one of
four things for the remainder of class:
Option 1: find additional sources to make sure you have 15
varied, credible sources that address
multiple points of view.
Option 2: create and properly
format your MLA7 Bibliographies, using your Little Seagull Handbook and/or the easybib.com
website. You must have 15 sources; must include one or more book(s), video(s), and
interview(s).
Option 3: if you have already
printed your sources, you can begin physically organizing their binder—hole punching, creating tabs and
sections, etc.
Option 4: read printed sources and
mark up the text/write in the margins.
Homework: Have all 15 sources you
are actually going to use by Monday. We
will be practicing freewrites and analysis on Monday, April 9. All students
should have a 3-ring binder by Monday and 15 printed/copied sources by
Wednesday, April 11.
