Research for your topics should be gathered IN CLASS today.
The goal is to not have homework over the weekend. If you are unsure where to begin the paper, there are guidelines/advice for how to begin your topic under the Author Style Guidelines (on pages 1-2) specifically for biographies, geographical locations, etc.

The first half of class on Wednesday will be drafting your paper with your partner (computers will be available) and the second half will be discussing and editing for neutral language.

Completed, printed rough drafts are due FRIDAY, Feb. 23. You will have time to peer edit in class, as well as formatting in the Chicago Style, rather than MLA.

Final drafts of your Oregon Encyclopedia entry are due Monday, Feb. 26 (upload to turnitin.com as well). It is expected that you will actually submit your entry to the Oregon Encyclopedia Project. Proof of submission may be required.
